TPS61032: Replace TPS61030 and leave feedback resistors connected?

Hi team,

I'm looking at using the TPS61032 as an alternate to the TPS61030 in the QFN package. Am I okay to place the TPS61032 on the board and leave the feedback resistors, that I had been using for the TPS61030, connected?

Hi Jacob,

Why is customer needs FB to be connected? TPS61032 has internal FB resistors and we do not recommended customer to do that.

Hi Wenhao,

The reason is because they originally did their design with the TPS61030. However, because of the current semiconductor shortage, they are considering the TPS61032 as a drop-in replacement. I think the recommendation then would be to change the FB resistors, that they had needed for the TPS61030, to DNP.
