Hi,
Can I please have some help with a supply issue? We have been using TPSM82810SSILR in one of our designs, and as a very important part of our design, we are not keen to replace it. However, due to supply issues, we might have no choice.
Firstly, would anybody know where we can get the following (they are in order of preference) ? Or when stock is coming back? The absolute minimum we need is 700 but a full reel would be better.
Alternatively, is there a TI replacement that is available? We are converting 5V to various voltages ranging between 0.85V and 3.3V.
The small size of TPSM82810 is why we like it. We could consider a solution that doesn't have an integrated inductor as long as the overall footprint isn't bigger.
Kind regards,
Dan
Hi Dan,
I will check if there is any supply available or an alternative and give you some feedback as soon as possible.
Regards,
Alex
Hi Dan,
Unfortunately, we can not support the request currently due to shortage and please check on distributor like arrow or digikey.
If they do not have any supply you could check these 2 devices which could fit:
TPSM82810 data sheet, product information and support | TI.com
TPSM82813 data sheet, product information and support | TI.com
Regards,
Alex
Thanks Alex,
We appreciate the help.
For months we've done our best to find them at various distributers, including DigiKey, Mouser, Arrow, Avnet and many more.
Those two datasheets you posted are for the exact same parts I listed. Do you have any other recommendations?
Kind regards,
Dan
Hi Dan,
Unfortunately there is no pin to pin compatible device available right now.
If you could consider alternatives that are not pin to pin then I could try to find you some which would be available if that is an option for you.
If that is the case what other specifications besides size and voltage are also important to your system?
Regards,
Alex
Thanks Alex,
We can consider alternatives that aren't pin for pin compatible. Footprint compatibility is the preference, but it's mainly the overall size of the footprint and supporting components that matters.
There are 14 of these point of load supplies on the same board, converting 5V to a range of voltages between 0.85V and 3.3V.

I did see TPSM82822 and TPSM82821 on your website which are 2A and 1A respectively, but since they are also unavailable at suppliers, I didn't bother going into further detail with them.
Kind regards,
Dan
Hi Dan,
I will see if I can find an alternative which would fit your requirements and come back to you as soon as possible.

Alex
Thanks Alex,
I just had a though. We were regulating 5V only because nothing existed that could drop a 3S voltage (10V-14V) down to 0.85V efficiently.
If an SMPS like that exists now, it would be a massive bonus. Otherwise, we'll keep regulating from 5V.
Kind regards,
Dan
Hi Dan,
That could be an option but we do not have any alternative which would have an similar footprint (uSiP (SIL)14) compared to the TPSM82810 .
Right now we could only provide you an alternative which has a different footprint.
I could search for a few devices which would have similar dimensions but the pins will be different.
Regards,
Alex
Hi Dan,
Unfortunately there is no alternative available which would have a similar footprint.
The only available device that would meet your requirements would be the LMZ31503 data sheet, product information and support | TI.com but this device is quite bigger.

Alex
