LM2663: SD pin

Guru 11100 points
Part Number: LM2663

Hello,

My customer supplies the gate bias of the GAN TR by converting the 5V input to -5V with the LM2663.

If the customer accidentally operates the SD pin without connecting it to GND, can this cause a damage inside or outside the LM2663?

Thank you.

  • Hello,

Thanks for reaching out. As stated in the datasheet at page 11, section 8.4.1 "Shutdown Mode", for normal operation the SD pin needs to be grounded, if the pin is not connected to gnd there might be an unwanted shutdown event if accidentally there are 2V on this pin. I hope this helped you, let me know if further help is needed.

    Kind regards,
    EM
