TPS64200: Using ceramic capacitors for 1V2 and -2V5 inverter?

Let me thank you for your patience and understanding.

Referring to figure 23 in the datasheet, the inverter application uses a 47uF X7R ceramic capacitor instead of tantalum capacitors.

What I understand from the datasheet typical examples, an additional R1b is not required in an inverter application.

I would like to know whether you need a buck controller for your application or otherwise we could propose some newer buck converters as alternatives.

TPS64200 is a pretty old part and I do not recommend this in newer designs.

Hi Febin,

I do need this converter for a new design, and this one was primarily chosen because of availability. I actually need 4 of these bucks in this design from which one must act as inverter. So if you have a better offer please let me know. 2022 will primarily be prototypes (< 200) but beginning of 2023 we will need at least 4 x 5k and rising.

My input voltage is about 6V and I need 3V3/200mA, 1V2/200mA, 2V5/50mA and -2V5/50mA.

Look forward to hearing your suggestions. Remember that price and availability are equally important. Efficiency less so.

Preferably a converter but that depends on price and availability.
