BQ24195L: Setting up 5V output from SW pin

Hi there,

Just a quick question. I have the BQ24195L chip setup such that the SW pin is connected to a Power switch that requires 5V.

Based off the BQ24195L data sheet, the SW pin offers between -2 and 20V output.

My question: Is there a specific register setup that allows for 5v output from the SW pin or is there a specific setup required to output 5v from the SW pin.

Hi,

The SW voltage is not DC voltage. Please refer to Figure 38 and Figure 39 on the d/s.

I was wondering if I were to use it to output 5 V, is that possible and if so, is there a specific register or setup required.

Page 5-Absolute maximum ratings--Because seeing how the input for the chip is maximum @ 17V, does the -2v -> 20V not refer to max and min pin outputs?

Hi,

The recommended input voltage range (VBUS) is 3.9V to 17V (page 5 of the d/s). What is your input voltage range for the 5V output?
