TPS62097: Clarify EN pin electrical specification!

Part Number: TPS62097

Hi team,

Could you explain the meaning of EN pin specification? see below table.

Why Vh_en min. value is 2V and typical value is 1.6V?

Why the definition is not like Vh_mo?

Currently customer GPIO voltage is 1.8V, so is it ok to enable TPS62097?

Thanks

  • Hello Paul,

1.6V is the typical value for the condition--> Tj=25 degrees and Vin=3.6V. and it does not include all the worst cases. That is why the 2V (worst case) value is specified. 2V gives you the lowest voltage you should pull the EN pin in order to turn on the device reliably.

If you connect to 1.8V, it can not be 100% reliable that device will turn on in all cases.

The following paper can help you to understand more about the EN pin specifications.
