TPS650861: Can we replace it with TPS6508700RSKT

Hi Team,

We are using TPS650861 PMIC for our design to work with LS1046A Layerscape processor.

Due to the lead time and stocking issues, we are planning to use TPS6508700RSKT chip instead of that.

Could you please confirm if both parts are identical when using with LS1046A, and please let us know if any comments.

Also Please provide comments if we have missed to address any critical factors before going with this decision.

Thanks for using E2E! TPS6508700 comes pre-programmed to support the AMD family processors. For LS1046A Layerscape processors, we recommend reviewing the following users guide: TPS65086100 User's Guide for NXP LS1043A which describes how to program the OTP memory to match the NXP Layerscape family of LS10XXA processors.

For prototype, we also recommend getting the TPS650861 programming BoosterPack to program the blank OTP memory bank and validate any configuration before soldering the parts into the actual application board for verification.
