I'm having a hard time understanding the measurement characteristics of the bq78412. On page 3, in the Electrical Characteristics parameters section of the datasheet, its lists the Typical Sense Voltage Measurement Step Size as 4 mV, the Typical Shunt Current Measurement Step Size as 0.1 A, and the typical Sense Resistor as 1 mOhm. If the voltage measurement step size is 4mV, a 4 mV voltage change on a 1 mOhm resistor would correspond to a current change of 4 A. Meaning the minimum current step size in 4 A? Likewise, a 0.1 A change through a 1 mOhm resistor would result in a 0.1 mV change in sense voltage, well below the 4 mV spec.
What am I missing? any help is much appreciated!
