Hi sir,
Can I use FET (CSD86360Q5D), in the following design,
is there any issue?
Design[1]
Use IC: tps53015
VIN 5V Vout 3.3V IOUT Max 10A
Design[2]
Use IC: tps51916
VIN 5V Vout 1.2V (DDR4 VDDQ) IOUT Max 10A
Design[3]
Use IC: tps51215a
VIN 5V Vout 1.8V IOUT Max 15A
Thanks.
Hello Frank1,
Thanks for the inquiry. The CSD86360Q5D is a high performance, 25V power block and may be overkill for your customer's applications. We have an excel-based TI FET selection tool for sync buck which allows you to input your requirements and compare up to 3 different TI discrete or power block FET solutions for power loss, package and cost. I plugged in your requirements and some parameters from the gate drivers in the control ICs. For 5x6mm SON, I'd recommend the CSD87352Q5D, 30V power block. Performance is not as good but the cost is lower. An alternative for the 10A applications is the CSD87588N power block II in 5x2.5mm LGA package. For 15A, the CSD87384M in 5x3.5mm LGA is an alternative. We also have options in 3.3 x 3.3mm SON package such as the CSD87335Q3D. If you would like, I can send you the spreadsheets via regular email.
Here is a link where you can download the TI FET selection tool for sync buck. Please give it a try and share with your customer.
