TPS24711: reverse current when start into short

Hi Team, 

want to check on below waveform. 

1. it enter into Ilim during start into short, to my understanding, it should enter into power limit, right? or in this test, current limit is lower than power limit? 

2. when MOS shut down, why does reverse current come out? Is it reverse current of body diode? Thanks .

    Happy New Year !!! Sorry for the delay in getting back to you... 

    Please see the responses in the order of your queries.

    1) In case of TPS24711, the device should be in power limit during startup into short or after the fast pulldown during short circuit at the output as along as ILIM x VDS > PLIM. This figure is for representation purpose only. 

    2) This negative spike in the input current is sourced by the input capacitor during turn off.
