Other Parts Discussed in Thread: BQ27510-G2,
I have a DFI file done several years ago for a BQ27510-G2.
Can I use it with a BQ27510-G3?

Hello John,
No, when the new firmware is released a lot of times the DF addresses change, if you use a G2 DFI to program a G3 there's a good chance all the DF would become corrupted.
I would recommend programming the settings in the new G3 from settings in the G2. You can upload the Qmax and Ra tables if you are using the same battery so you do not need to re-run a learning cycle.

Wyatt, We read the data from our G2 device and exported the programming files. It works. the only thing is that the G3 device now returns a firmware version 0123 (G2) instead of 0400 (G3) Any suggestions?
Thanks for your help.

Hello John,
Do you mean you uploaded the DFI exported from the G2 and imported it into the G3? The DFI file only contains the data flash, it does not contain the instruction flash, this is why I would recommend manually updating the parameters using the same ones you have in the G2 into the G3 and then exporting your new golden file.
Sincerely,
