UCD90SEQ64EVM-650: power sequence in fusion design online

Part Number: UCD90SEQ64EVM-650
Other Parts Discussed in Thread: UCD90124A, UCD90124

Hello Team,

For the power sequencing, I have started to work with UDC90124 in the UCD90SEQ64EVM. I have made a power sequence in fusion design online.

I have some point and one question,

  • It seems like, in the sequence  your ICs rails is looking for the parent Power Good but not looking parental Enable signal. (There might be safety issue for your IC)
  • I could understand and run the power sequence. I checked it on my scope also.
  • But whenever I click on the ``start polling`` in the fusion design online, to see the voltages in the graphical representation, SMBus alerts pulls low and all system gets low?

I did not understand why it is turning down? When I try to start polling.

Thanks,

SunSet

  • Hi, Sunset,

It seems your system has faults causing SMBALERT to be low. Check the Voltage limits.

  • Hello Anne,

thanks for the quick follow up.

    Some additional info.

I started my sequence and I can say it is fine. and there is no alert or something. I can follow from the turn on leds and everything is fine.

Whenever I try to connect in fusion designer to monitor to see Voltage with graphical view. Fusion design starts to load or read registers and that yields to the system down and  I started to get alert and everything shuts down.

When I push the button stop pulling in software and reset my sequencer it does not give any alert or error. But whenever I push run pulling in software it starts to give error.

I have already make some adjustments about undervoltage and overvoltage. I think they are fine.

    Thanks,

    Sunset

  • Hi

GUI 7.0 does not support UCD90124 since this device is too old to support by new GUI. Please use UCD90124A.
