BQ35100EVM-795: Unable to unseal the device and use coulomb counter function

Part Number: BQ35100EVM-795
Other Parts Discussed in Thread: EV2400, BQSTUDIO

Hello everyone,

I am a definite newby to working with gas gauges and evaluation modules. I am working with the BQ35100EVM and am having a lot of problems with where to start. I am trying to figure out the impedance of a battery cell as it discharges, the accuracy of the coulomb counter function, and if the chip can switch between EOS mode and coulomb counting mode.

The chip is in sealed mode currently, and I have attempted to use the codes in data memory to unseal and give full access for the device. I had no success here.

I have read through both datasheets as well as the technical service manual and to no avail, I can not unseal the device.

The three datasheets/manuals I have read are listed below.

If anyone has any tips or suggestions for solving this problem, as well as any guide to better understand and use the device, all help would be appreciated! Happy Holidays.
