UCD90120A: x0 firmware file needed.

Part Number: UCD90120A

Dear Sir/Mam

We purchased UCD90120A from source in china (since component market is as it is we had no choice). Components came in ROM mode and it appears they are without firmware.

We tried to export firmware file form ones that we purchased before but it is password protected :D.

Could you please assist us in getting firmware downloaded to these parts either by providing password to retrieve from old ones or by providing firmware file so we can use them regularly and download configuration to them.

Below PrntScrn of newly acquired components. If you need any extra information please ask.

Full marking on component is (to help determine if it is orginial and lot)

  • Hi, Goran,

Please try the below step to see if you can bring the device to "Normal Mode" (Program Mode):

    1. Click on "Scan Device in ROM mode". If detect device in ROM, the "Command ROM to execute its program..." link will be enable.

    2. Click on "Command ROM to execute its program..." link. If success, device will be in Program Mode.

    3. Click on "DEVICE_ID" link. If the above step is successful, device ID will be shown and device is ready to use.

  • Hi Anne

I tried this and it didn't work.

Problem is that these components sourced from China didn't have FW at all.

I managed to find on E2E forum password for FW export from components that we acquired earlier from TI directly. I then used this FW to upload to  China one's...afterwards I had to also recreate checksum so UCD would remain in programing mode and now I'm able to use them normally and all works fine now.

    Thank you for support anyways.

    Kind regards
