Part Number: BQ25713

Hi Sir,

My customer has BQ25713 question.

Can the 3S battery (12.6V) be fully charged if the DC input is 12V? thanks for help!

BR,

SHH

  • Hi SHH,

Yes, as long as the input power is high enough to provide both the system load current and some charge current.

    Regards,

    Jeff

  • Hi Jeff,

    Thanks for feedback.

Customer read the battery gauge and found the battery is not fully charged.

after several times un-plug and plug DC power, sometimes the charging current will become zero and the battery is not fully charged.

Would you please reveiw the BQ25713 dump register for normal and abnormal case  and provide your comment?

    1. change.txt is the normal charging dumped registers.

  • Hi SHH,

Looking at the register dump, I noticed that ChargeCurrent register (03/02h) is set to 0x00, which is 0 A. There will not be any charging if the setting is set to 0A.

ChargeCurrent register will need to be updated at adaptor plug in every time.

I would recommend getting an EVM in case of any future issues.

Thanks and I hope this helps,

    Peng
