BQ24610: BQ24610 charger status

Hi All,

We used the BQ24610 for the Lithium battery charger, the spec. as below: Vin=28V, 6-cell, ladapter_limit=4A, Icharger=4A, we want to know the charger complete statue that we need to complate the voltage ro current between the battery and referecne voltage/current? thanks.

    Hello,

    I am having trouble understanding your question.

    However, to set the charge voltage follow Section 9.3.1. The voltage regulation is 2.1*(1+R2/R1) where R2 is connected from VFB to the battery and R1 is connected from VFB to GND.

    To set the charge current regulation, follow Section 9.3.2 and program V_ISET1 such that V_ISET1/20/RSR is the desired charge current.

    Sorry for my unclear description, my question is how to check whether is charger is finished or not, we comparison the voltage or current, thanks.

    Hello,

    When charge is complete STAT1 will be HIGH (in other words the open drain transistor will be OFF) and STAT2 will be LOW (in other words the open drain transistor will be ON). Please see Figure 20 for an example of how to pull up the STATx pins with a resistor and a LED. Please see Table 2 for the STAT Pin Definition.
