LM2595: Need certificates of IC LM2595S

HI

for UL, or IEC/CB , it is system requirement which is test whole DCDC circuit. As I know, the IC don't have any related certification.

do you have any example that other IC have such certification?

Thanks for your response. Could you please share the test reports showing that the the circuit will cut off beyond it maximum current ratings. I think with that we should be able to convince Intertek

"circuit will cut off beyond its max current rating" do you mean over current protection?

the behavior is when the load increase, the peak current of high side switch will also increase until it reach the current limit. it will come to cycle by cycle current limit and Vo will decrease and the frequency will also  will decrease to reduce the power loss. 

Is it possible to share any test report for this

I mean for test report for the peak current cut off .So that we can try to convince Intertek with this

below is the OCP statues , the SW voltage, inductor current and output voltage.

the load condition is 1.6A cc current+ 12ohm load resistor. the device come to the ocp statues, decrease the frequency to 100K from 160K and Vo is down to 300mV.

I will check the hardware when we got the board

Could you please some more simulation results.

1. Can you tell me when it is configured as 5V output. What is the Maximum current it can provide.

2. If it is loaded with it Maximum current, How the OCP circuit works?

3. For the same 5V output circuit,  is it possible to do a sweep analysis for output current [0 to 3A]

4. Can you tell me which software you are using for circuit simulation?

HI Sajesh:

1. the max peak current of inductor is 1.6A in simulation when it is configure to 5V. the output current will be around 1.4A

2. in maximum current, the peak current will be lower than 1.6A. OCP means the load resistor will reduce and make the dc current raising. when peak current reach 1.6A, it will immedately turn off the high side fet and reduce the duty. as Vo=Vi*duty, if duty decrease, Vo will derease

3. below the output current sweep, load condition: 12ohm resistor load + current source change from 0-1.6A with 1.6A/ms slew rate
