TPS62141: DC/DC step-down power source

Hello,

We need any DC/DC convertor with input power supply (7.2V to 15V) and output voltage 3.3V or 3.8V and Iout(max) = 2A. And we need high efficiency power source and low power consumption (supply from solar panel). We would like to use TPS62141RGTR. I know that is this version have fixed 1.8V but the adjustable version in not available (TI, Digikey, Mouser, Arrow, Avnet).

Is it possible change the output voltage by external resistor?

What is the value of the internal resistor R1, R2, R3? Could you write me the value of the Rext for the output voltage 3.3V or 3.3V?

If is not this source suitable, could you write me better solution with other circuit that is available in Digikey, Avnet, Arrow or Mouser?

Hi Tomas,

TPS62141 could not work to 3.3V with external feedback resistors. Most of suitable ICs are out of stock now. What is your output current? If your max output current is 1A, I would recommend our latest generation buck converter TPS629210(commercial) and TPS629210-Q1(automotive). TPS629210 part will be released this month. The part and EVM are available now. Please take a look the datasheet and EVM user's guide in the link as below.

Hello Nancy,

Thank you for your feedback. But how I wrote, I need source with Iout = 2A, maybe Iout = 1.5A should be suficient. We used the TPS54302DDCR in past and this source was suitable, but now is not available. Thanks.

Understand, there are a lot of parts are out of stock now. I could not find any parts which is available for your application except TPS629210. For latest updates inventory, please contact TI customer support at Customer support center – Homepage - Customer Support (service-now.com).

Hello, Nancy. I checked the stores of Digikey, Mouser and so on. And the TPS629210(commercial) or TPS629210-Q1 (automotive) are out of stock. Do you have simillar product with same parameters on stock?

Are you just needing samples for prototype? If so, you can submit a ZS request(ZSI/ZST Workflow (ti.com) for TPS629210QDRLRQ1 and we can get you some parts. TPS629210 (commercial part) would not be available because we have not formally released yet. We are set to be release it by end of this month.
