UCC28060: Regarding Transition mode PFC IC UCC28060 PFC Inductor

Part Number: UCC28060
Other Parts Discussed in Thread: UCC28065, UCC28064A

Dear TI Team,

We are using the PFC IC UCC28060 (Transition Mode Two Phase Interleaved)

I am bit confused to select the optimized inductor for my application .

I did the Calculation for Inductor using TI datasheet UCC28060 , General Calculation and  TI Calculator sluc072b.

Since we are using the Critical Conduction or Transition Mode PFC , as per my understanding we need to use Lmin value. (Please correct if I am wrong)

If we select the Lmax Value then for certain condition Zero cross detection may not detected and one of the Mosfet won’t turn on this leads increase the power dissipation , inductor saturation and System may fail.

Please see below calculation and let me know Which Inductor value is suitable for my application.

  Thank you ,

Kind Regards,

Sachin Khante
