BQ76940: Adding Temperature Monitor

Hi Team,

If I'm not mistaken, there are only 3 thermistor inputs for BQ76940. Our customer needs temperature monitoring of 6 cells on each of their module. Can you guide us on ways to possibly expand the temperature monitoring capability of BQ76940?

    Hello Jejomar,

    The BQ76940 can support only up-to three thermistors. There's no way to increase the thermistors inputs in the BQ76940. The IC's architecture works on three cell groups, each supporting a single thermistor input.

    They may be able to expand it to more using their MCU, but how they achieve this will be up to the designers. We cannot do much from the AFE side.
