Hi ,

battery gauge is working ok for voltage ,mAh , SOC etc values after configurations but when i want to run a learning cycle i have to insert charger but gauge stops responding after that.

battery Voltage : 29.6 V nominal 7.8 Ah (8S3P Li-ion),

charger spec: CC-CV, max voltage/current 33.6V 3 Amps,

and does charges battery ok with >90% efficiency.

also RUP_DIS should be low before calibration is enabled, am i right about it.

can you also share the proper gauge calibration process by BQstudio,in case there is something wrong with my calibation understanding.

Hello Deepak,

Just applying the charger should not have any effect on the gauge communication. There could be some issue with referencing or noise causing the communication to not be possible. Can you share your whole gauge schematic?

You should be able to find the calibration process in the EVM user guide, you don't need an EVM to use the process, it outlines how to use bqStudio for calibration.

Hello Deepak,

There is nothing obvious to me why the gauge would stop communicating when charging. Are you able to confirm the gauge is powered on REGIN? If the gauge is powered it should be able to communicate.

Ok will check on This also will check the charger for noise as well.
