Hello,

Our customer is requesting an alternative to WS2811 and I offered TLC59731 as a solution, but the customer is asking for a part similar to TLC59731 but with 24V sink capability and a bit higher sink current. Also, they prefer a small package. I don't see any on Ti database, is this available or is there an alternative solution we can offer?

I am afraid we do not have higher current capability version TLC5973.

Is there a similar device or perhaps an upgrade to TLC5973 that we could recommend?

Hi Marvin,

TLC5971 is a 2-wire interface and can support 12 channels. If customer is designing a LED cluster which need to series the driver in long distance, TLC5971 could be a option. If customer is looking for some high voltage and current capability device, TLC5917/17 could be recommended. TLC5973 do not have a next generation yet.

Hi Marvin,

Just realize there is typo in previous reply. It is TLC5916 and TLC5917.
