Hello guys,

One of my customers is evaluating LM5155 using LM5155EVM-SEPIC.

But they knew recently that it is difficult to get LM5155 by their mass-production start dead line and it is easy to get LM5156 by the dead line.

So they want to start LM5156 evaluation using LM5155EVM-SEPIC instead of LM5155.

At this moment, they have the following question. Could you please give me your reply for them?

Q.   Can LM5155 on LM5155EVM-SEPIC be replaced with LM5156? Does LM5156 operate correctly on LM5155EVM-SEPIC?

    Hello Kazuya-san, 

    Thanks for reaching out. Yes, the LM5156 can replace the LM5155 on the SEPIC EVM. The difference between the two devices is pin 7: this is AGND in the LM5155 and DITHOFF in the LM5156 and if connected to gnd it enables the spread spectrum. Let me know if further help is needed.
