LP5012: Activate with Enable pin only without I2C

Part Number: LP5012
Other Parts Discussed in Thread: TLC5940-EP, LP5569,

Hi Team,

Can you please check and advise with following request possible solution or alternative device?

"

When the LP5012RUKR manufacturer code product is powered and at the same time I make the enable pin logic 1, the LEDs do not light up.

In order to light the LEDs, it is necessary to open the mostefs in the LP5012RUKR over I2C.

Is there a version of the LP5012RUKR where the LEDs light up by default without using I2C when the power is supplied and the enable pin is logic 1?

"

Thanks in advance

Best Regards

  • Hi Furkan,

For LP5012, it is still required to send register data through I2C communication with power supply and logic-high EN, in order to light up the LEDs. In case that you are looking for other devices, LP5569 with engine-control feature or TLC5940-EP with EEPROM can better fulfil the automatic light-up of LEDs.
