1. We are trying to develop IoT sensor application that need fast charging. When VAC inserted, can I control via i2C to enable/disable the ACDRV1/2 on/off ?

2. Where can I download "Charger_2_00-bq25960.bqz" ?

Hi John,

Yes, we can control ACDRV1/2 by writing ACDRV1_STAT and ACDRV2_STAT register bits. This is done using I2C function.

bqz file can be loaded using the link below:

https://www.ti.com/tool/BQSTUDIO?keyMatch=&tisearch=search-everything&usecase=software#downloads

After you install BQStudio in your computer, you will find bqz files for different chargers.

I went to your link and download the BQSTUDIO, checking out both the BQSTUDIO-STABLE & BQSTUDIO-TEST versions, but unable to find charger_2_00-bq25960.bqz as stated in BQ25960EVM (BMS041) Evaluation Module User's Guide. I only found Charge_1_06-bq25970_A1_EVM.

Also, I noticed the Charger_1_06-bq25970_A1_EVM is dated 02/11/2020. Not sure if there's a newer version. Thanks.

Which company are you working for? And how many BQ25960 ICs are going to used in your project?

What is your email? I can search BQ25960 bqz file for you, and once I get it, I can send it to you by email.
