UCC21736-Q1: OC Protection - current scale down

Part Number: UCC21736-Q1

Hello, i have a question regarding the OC protection on UCC2173x family. If i use SiC device without SenseFet Pin (Source Sense pin), which is the best method to implement current scale down? OC pin requires 0.7V to trigger, for 15A load current  current with 30A set protection that means 15*07 = 10W , which is huge heat power. So, it looks that OC protection is unusable if the SiC MOSFET does not have additional source sense pin? But most of the low-voltage devices (up to 650V) does not have such?  Is there any simple decision to reduce power dissipation? Additional reference voltage and comp is not considered as simple? Any way to implement  current mirror that can work reliable enough?
