Hi Team,
WEBENCH® Designer is limit at Vout:12V, How to meet below Conditions or suggest?
- input : 5~55V
- Output: 48V,3A
- Voltage: 12V min ~ 48V
- Current: 1- 3 A

Hi Kevin,
as the Webench is a very generic design generator some more strict limits had to be implemented.
You can also use the Quick Start component Calculator LM5118 data sheet, product information and support | TI.com
To get more insight and set and see additional parameters
Or also the Power Stage Designer for designing a power stage to optimize the design even further.
Best regards,
Stefan
Hi Kevin,
I have not seen an update on this thread for the last 16 days.
Maybe you could solve this issue already in the meantime, in this case it would be great to press the is solved button.
If there is still something open, just let me know with the new details.

Hi Stefan,
LM5118 can meet below Conditions?
Hi Kevin,
can you clarify what is meant will line 3 in relation to line 1 and 2.
Best regards,
Stefan
Hi Stefan,
Notes are as follows.
Hi Kevin,
OK, so if i understood right, you need to have an adjustable output voltage in the range of 12V-48V.
Typically a switch mode power supply is targeted for a fixed output voltage. Having an adjustable range is of course possible but requires also to ensure stability over the full range and in certain conditions to decide which condition is more critical e.g. where efficiency is more important.
For this the Webench is not the best tool as this is designed for a fixed output voltage.
You can work through your design with that of course but need to evaluate for the different output voltages individually.
You can also use the Design calculation Tool for the LM5118, which can be found on the product page of the LM5118
LM5118 data sheet, product information and support | TI.com
https://www.ti.com/lit/zip/snvu065
Or to get even more control and insight into the design use the power stage designer:
POWERSTAGE-DESIGNER Design tool | TI.com
Note: you need to use the LM5118 for the input voltage range of 5V - 55V
Best regards,
Stefan
