BQ78350: power on , no work

Part Number: BQ78350
Other Parts Discussed in Thread: , BQ76920, BQ76930, BQ76940,

Dear ,

whether BQ78350  has to  import firmware first, it can be work ?

now i power on , but no work . so i need confirm that it need configure register first ,if not, it could not work ;

could you provide me the register or default firmware hex file?

  • Hi Cooper,

    What do you mean it does not work? Are you able to communicate with the device at all? The BQ78350 comes pre-loaded with firmware, so there is no need to load the firmware.

    Which specific part number are you using. Is it the BQ78350-R1A? What hardware are you using - is it a TI EVM or your own board. The BQ78350 is designed specifically to work with the BQ769x0 battery monitor family (BQ76920, BQ76930, or BQ76940) and the monitor provides power to the BQ78350. The monitor needs to see a rising edge on the TS1 pin to wake from Shutdown.

    The BQ78350 is a battery gauge which needs to be configured for your specific battery. The steps to configure the gauge are outlined in the "Using the BQ78350-R1" application document. The Gas Gauging section of this document describes how to configure the gauging parameters.

    Best regards,

    Matt
