TPS65094: Require support for PMIC queries

Part Number: TPS65094
Other Parts Discussed in Thread: USB2ANY

Team,

Good Day!!

I am using this part in our PMIC and I am requesting your support on the below requests.

Request #1. PMIC schematic is attached . Requesting for your review if anything is missed or not?

Request #2. I2C bus pull up & Digital IO's we connected to 3.3V, as I saw max. voltage supported is 3.3V from Recommended operating conditions in datasheet. Is this voltage I connected is correct?

Request #3. Programming point of view, I have provided  a I2C header. I understood that I2C programming is done only through USB2ANY programmer right? If so, This programmer schematic has i2c pullup resistors to 3.3V, so i have not given pullups in schematic. Is my understanding correct?

Request #4. Other than USB2ANY programmer, is any other way to program the device via i2c?

Kindly provide your updates.

Thanks

Pradeep. S

  • Dear Team,

I am at the critical release phase of the design. Your fast support is very much helpful for me. Please respond.

    Thanks

  • Hi Pradeep,

Thanks for reaching out! I apologize for the delay; This E2E was originally assigned to wrong person.

What SoC are you powering with this PMIC? The TPS65094x device variant comes with the default OTP settings specifically to support the Intel Apollo Lake Platform. For the design review, we have made available resources in the product folder to help our customers verify the connections on the PMIC. Below is the link to the schematic/layout checklist. Please complete the form and re-attach it to this E2E with any questions or concerns. Regarding the I2C question, 1.8V is what we recommend for the pull-up supply but the pins can handle up to 3.3V. Just for your reference, TPS650861x is the user programmable version of this device family which comes with two "blank" OTP memories for customers to program different settings (like output voltages/sequences) to match specific system requirements.
