TPS51220A: TPS51220A max output current

Hi, I am wondering if there is a max output current for the TPS51220A regulator. I noticed that the curves go up to 8A, and we need ~15A off of a 5V output. Is it just a matter of correctly sizing the inductors and FETs? Is there no limit for the regulator (eg, 100A is OK too)?

Hi Jeffrey,

Like you said, the MOSFET and inductor selection determine the max output current, TPS51220A doesn't have the limit.

Please also consider thermal in such high-current application, e.g. you can use two parallel MOSFETs for current sharing to improve thermal.
