BQ76952: Alert Pin problem

Hello ,

I have configured setting:AlertPinConfig, Setting: Default Alarm Mask , Alarm status for alert pin , but still We have facing some issues in alert pin configuration.

Issue 1: configuring Alert pin as 0x0A , in my microcontroller of external interupt(Alert pin) pin is alway high i.e AFE transmitting 1.8 V (checked with multi metre) in that alert pin . I don't know why the it is triggering

Issue 2: configuring Alert pin as 0x8A, in that my microcontroller of external interupt(Alert pin) pin is low i.e AFE transmitting 0V (checked with multi metre)in that alert pin .But the external ISR is triggering.

Please do help us to solve the above issues

Hello Pavithraa,

Could you share your Default Alarm Mask setting? If you read the Alarm Status register, can you see what is triggering the ALERT pin?

Default Alarm Mask setting -> 0xC001 and while checking the Alarm status register it shows -> 0x0001, but still the alert pin of MCU(EXIT) is triggering continually.

Hello Pavithraa,

The settings should be working fine. Did you clear the Alert Status Register? The Alert will stay latched until it is cleared by the MCU by writing 0x0001 to the Alarm Status Register.

Read the last couple of paragraphs in Section 6.6 ALERT Pin Operation of the Technical Reference Manual.
