Hi Ti Team,
I see many benefits using this NVDC charger in my application which can be either supplied from an non-persistent external power source or from an internal 1-cell Li-ion battery.
The capability to generate back from the internal battery a boosted voltage (from VBUS OTG mode) at the input power of my system is also something I need to power supply an external module when the main power source is OFF. The thing is that I don't have any USB in my system.
1) Is it possible to enable the OTG mode to have the benefit of the boosted VBUS from the battery without any USB data negociation, just thru the I²C by configuring the registry?
I guess the REG-12 OTG mode controt bit 6 enable the OTG capability right? Not the VBUS itseff if conditions of chapter 9.3.7.1 are satisfied right?
2) In case it is not possible to force the VBUS OTG mode from the registry: I think I can simulate the USB Host request if I connect USB data bus beween my MCU and the charger just to request the charger to be a Host and generate the VBUS right?
Thank's a lot.
Best regards
