BQ25618: Facing the issue with charging current is not same as programmed

Hi Ti Team,

We have used  BQ25618YFFR IC for battery charging. We have set the battery charging current to 550mA. But while throughout the charge cycle we observe only 336mA. And with another approach, we have seen 560mA as below.

  • We discharged the battery and started charging @ 3V VBAT. It consumed 0.336A charging current.
  • After around few minutes, we stopped the charging and disconnected the battery from the PCB.
  • After a minute, we re-inserted the battery and started to charge it. This time we measured the charging current to be ~0.56A.
  • We have re-tested it multiple times and observed the same.

Need your guidance and support to resolve the issue.
