TPS2045A: Leakage current with EN ON/OFF

Hi team,

Is there difference on the specs for leakage current/ current limit period/ etc. for below two situations?

Short is detected and current limit is active before EN=ON
Short is detected and current limit is active after EN=ON

I'm guessing the answer (yes/no) would be the same for other devices on the family TPS20xx, but if that is not correct please let me know.

Hi, Kurumi,

It's hard to say. It's an old part and the parameters are not tested under two condition. But from my understanding, if this IC has some differences under different test condition, the difference should be stated in datasheet. Otherwise there should be no difference.

If you want a guaranteed result, it may take longer time. When team member comeback from holiday, they need to request IC and do some test to confirm.

By the way, can you let me know the customers' end equipment, why they care leakage current so much?

It looks like IC behavior. Datasheet has detailed description on it. This devices has this backward. If it’s not acceptable, I recommend customer to use our latest device TPS25221 or TPS2553.
