LP2998: Continuous Current Output Required for DDR3L Termination

Hello Team,

What is the value of required continuous output current for DDR3L termination?

The datasheet shows that it is tested at ±0.5A, so is this the required value?

Other application notes mentioned 1.5A for DDR1 and 0.5A for DDR2.

What the datasheet means here is that the LP2998 is capable of supporting up to 1.5A of continuous current - the amount of current required by a DDR3L application may vary depending on the number of address/control bit lines. The required current also depends on the total number of DIMMs. There is a good breakdown of the process for calculating the required VTT current for DDR3/DDR#L here.
