Hello Hiroyuki,

First of all I hope you have noticed that it is only possible to change register (volatile) values in LP873347RHDT, and not the non-volatile memory content. So basically you need to have uC in the system that would load the values to LP873347RHDT at power up. At power down the settings will be lost.

1. It does not really matter which software to use, as long as you can write data through I2C bus.

2. You need I2C host device (uC or similar) which I2C data and clock are connected to LP8733 I2C bus (pins 17 and 18). Supply voltage (VANA) needs to be up before you can access I2C. For testing purposes you can use our LP87330Q1EVM which has on-board uC handling the I2C communication. Or Aardvark I2C host device or similar.

This time LP873347RHDT is connected to AWR1843, but is that MCU possible with the MCU inside AWR1843?
Is it possible to write a program using I2C communication from AWR1843?

Hello Hiroyuki,

I think AWR1843 has I2C, but I'm not sure about the capabilities.

So I guess the question is more regarding the AWR1843 capabilities rather than LP8733x. I have assigned this thread to Radar team to take over.

Thank you for making the arrangements.

This time, I think that the following ICs must be set in the program in advance for the products we use. (Excluding LP873347)
1.MX25V1635FZNQ (data input / output with SPI)
2.TM4C129ENCZADT3 or TM4C129XNCZADI3 (UART format)

Please ask if you can write the program to both ICs via AWR1843.

Hi Hiroyuki,

The PMIC and AWR1843 can communicate over I2C. This is also the case in our EVM.

AWR1843 does send commands to MX25V1635FZNQ, both for flashing and reading data from it (also for erasing). The commands sent conform to the datasheet of the flash.

It plays the role of sending the calculation results etc. performed by AWR1843 to the PC.
I also think that it will be used to read program data from a PC.

Hi Hiroyuki,

I don't think this processor can be communicated to by AWR1843 in a user programmable way. It is my understanding that TM4C129ENCZADT3 implements the XDS110 debugger on board. So, while the device does communicate to the chip, the user does not have control over this.

Hi Hiroyuki,

The code running on that chip is not meant to be programmed by the user. The chip implements the XDS110 debugger on board.

Hi Hiroyuki,

Yes it is possible to communicate LP873347 through I2C with the AWR1843 as Aayush mentioned earlier.

You need to check that there is no address conflict with the LP87702 if they are connected to the same I2C bus. LP873347 I2C address is 0x60. For LP87702 it depends on the full part number and you can check the I2C address in the Technical Reference Manual for that specific PN.

Yes unless the LP87702 version they are using has the same I2C address and is connected to the same bus. You cannot have two devices with the same I2C address in the same bus.
