Yes, the soft start is in internal function and is always enabled. We usually do not provide block diagrams at this level, but we can look into providing you some more information on this. Additionally please allow 2-3 business days to help find additional details on this soft start function.

This device has a small soft-start function that kicks in during startup and has a slower reaction time in comparison. It does have a significant amount of inrush current. Is there a certain functionality you are looking for? This may not be the right part if you are looking for a true soft start function. If you are able to provide specs we may be able to find a better solution.

For the TPS7A2533, what is the inrush current flow in a typical application?

Is there a graph showing the inrush current characteristics at startup?

Due to the inrush current at startup, the voltage drop in the input voltage due to that current is not a problem, but a current of about 500~600mA is flowing, and we are investigating the cause.

This is not specked in the datasheet, but something that we can look into providing a typical graph with 1 unit tested within the next couple of days. In the meantime, for the issue that you are seeing do you happen to have a scope shot or schematic to help us see what the issue may be?
