BQ40Z50-R2: Temperature calibration gone wrong BQ40z50R2

Part Number: BQ40Z50-R2

Dear Sir or Madam,

We are currently having problems adjusting the temperatures in our production.
The BQ shows a value of -75°C.
I can adjust it to 63°C, for example.
However, I cannot calibrate a value of 25°C.

There are 10kOhm resistors connected to the connector to simulate a temperature value of 25°C.

Attached are some excerpts from the Battery Management Studio and a section of the schematic. If we replace the BQ with another one it works.

  • Hello Jan,

It sounds like you performed an ABA swap on the part and the issue is following one specific IC?

If that's the case it may have been damaged somehow or have memory corruption. If you re-flash the default SREC does the issue resolve?

    Sincerely,

    Wyatt Keller
