Hello,
Does TPS2552 have a failure mode that can lead to pin open or short-circuit between IN and OUT?
If yes, which can occur? Open or short-circuit.
If both can happen, what's the percentage of these?
Best regards,
Shinichi Yokota

Ziv-san,
When a short-circuit failure happens, can the TPS2552 emit smoke, set fire, or burn?
I guess the package mold material is fire-resistant.

Hi Yokota-san,
1. The part is with short to ground protection. It can't damage the IC.
2. The voltage above ABS can damage the IC. As I test on bench, doesn't emit smoke, fire or burn.
