My customer using LM76005 for the following requirements.
Vin=36V
Vo=5V
Iout(max)=3A
FPWM mode
Based on WeBench, they tied SYNC/MODE to VIN.
But, since SYNC/MODE is logic input and its absolute maximum voltage is 5.5V, much less than Vin=36V, LM76005 was broken due to this error.
Please correct the WeBench at next update timing.

Thanks for reporting this issue, You are correct, we should not tie the SYNC/MODE pin to VIN.
We have updated the WEBENCH schematic for FPWM mode and connecting the MODE pin to Vcc. Hope this is fine.
Below Update will be available on ti.com by next WEBENCH release, Tentatively by end of this month. We will update once it's available on ti.com
