BQ24800: ACOK and 0x37[11] difference

Part Number: BQ24800

Hi Team,

We have a question for ACOK hardware signal and register signal.

1. Will 0x37[11] and ACOK(pin5) trigger at the same time when we meet conditions of ACOK_high?

Or,

2. Does 0x37[11] is asserted after ACOK turn high? If yes, what is the time need for 0x37[11] turn "1" after ACOK become high?

Best regards,

Hardy

  • Hi Hardy,

Our office is closed in observance the Presidents Day Holiday. We will get back to you by 02/23 after we return to the office.

    Best regards,

  • Hi Hardy,

They should be very close to each other. Please see below from datasheet:

"The REG0x37[11] tracks the status of ACOK pin."

The easy way is just to check one of the two. If they are monitoring ACOK, check ACOK. If they are monitoring register bit, check ACOK_STAT (0x37[11]).

They are both used to indicate adapter presence.

Thanks and I hope this helps,

    Peng
