BQ76952EVM: Board Detection

Hello

I am using BQ76952EVM with its GUI(Battery design Studio).Unfortunately the board is not been detected by the GUI. After analyzing i observed that the voltage across the transistor Q1 at emitter is 0.1V. Could you please let me know the reason?

Following are the voltage level at Q1 transistor.

Input Voltage 12V

Voltage at Base= 0.4V (Vreg)

Voltage at Collector 11.6V

Voltage at Emitter 0.1V (REGIN)

Hi Nisha,

Are you using the latest version of BQStudio? - you should download the BQSTUDIO-TEST version for this device.

The regulator is not enabled by default, so you need to set this register to enable REGIN. However, you need to connect to BQStudio first. Hi Matt,

Yes I am using the latest version .When I connect the Board to BQ Studio the GUI is unbale to Recognize the board Please find the screenshots attached. The Auto Detection of board in GUI displays none. The output voltage at Reg18 is 0.7V.
