BQ78350-R1: Device toggle in BQSTUDIO

I have made a custom gauge using BQ78350-R1, however, when I am connecting to BQstudio through EVM2400, my device gets detected but it keeps toggling between the device and a blank screen. I am attaching both screenshots.

The BQSTUDIO window keeps toggling between the following two screens. Please do let me know what can be the cause for this.

Hi Prabhat,

This means the gauge is losing communications with the EV2400. Where is the VSS for your EV2400 connected to your board? If it is connected to your PACK- and if you are using low-side FETs, you may not have reliable communications because PACK- is floating when the FETs are open.

Thanks a lot Matt Sunna for your fast and accurate response. Yes when the VSS is connected to battery ground, the problem gets resolved.
