Hi team,

My customer is evaluating dual phase interleaved solution with LM5143. Does the current sensing work for the current balancing? If yes, I don't think the current balancing is good with  DCR. It would better to have a current shunt. Correct?

    Hi Jerry,

    Current balancing should be independent of the sensing technique, assuming the same effective sense resistance, etc. However, there may be noise in the system that possibly affects the behavior. Please send the schematic and a completed quickstart calculator file for this design. Layout is also important to maintain symmetry between phases.
