BQ34110: LEN and complete configuration parameter steps

It is very hard for us to give general advice on all the settings used, the TRM should be used as a reference for setting up the gauge, and then if they have specific issues we can analyze further. The general setup for CEDV gauges is to run the GPCCEDV tool for the gauging coefficients, setup the design capacity, taper current, taper voltage, calibration, then any specifics for the application.

The LEN pin is used for the learning load for EOS detection, if they don't use this feature it doesn't need to be populated.

You do not need an ev2400 for mass-flashing, in fact, other tools are better. This guide has some information, and this one has some more. They have some example code included for how to flash the gauges. Let me know if they need any more information.

The BQ34110 has both the board and CC offset, the CC offset is for the coulomb counter specifically, the board offset is any offset that occurs from the trace lengths or other hardware system level offset.

You can use the commands in order to calibrate these values during production.

I don't think I understand your question, CC and board offset are not current values, just offsets from the one current read from the sense resistor.

The gauge should be calibrated before logging data for the GPCCEDV tool if you are using the gauge for logging.

I'm still not sure I understand what the "two load currents" is referring to? The logs submitted to the GPCCEDV are specified in the GPCCEDV guide: https://www.ti.com/lit/pdf/SLUUB45B

You need to submit 2 logs at low, room, and hot temperatures. One log should be the nominal application load, the other should be the highest average current.

Either cell type = 1 or 6 would be used depending on their cell.

I don't understand your question, the GPCCEDV tool has option 6 for NMC chemistry.

Can you share the data you reference so we can check the report? The OCV table for CEDV gauges is only used at boot-up or reset when RAM is lost.

Interesting, I didn't realize that BQstudio's built-in packer had that discrepancy. Here is what Wyatt was referring to:

This BQstudio tool just packages all of the information required for the tool for convenience. I would suggest setting it to 1, then manually opening the config.txt file to set that value to 6 before submitting the data. It seems we may need to update BQstudio to include that option in this drop-down.

Those values represent the OCV voltages at those different SOC values. This gauge actually does not use these values so you can ignore them. The BQ4050 for example, does use those values. 

I believe your customer should have also received an OCV.txt from the report. Use those values to fill out the Voltage at x% DOD values in the table. Let me know if you have any more questions relating tot he CEDV configuration.
