BQ27421-G1: Is it possible to programmatically set the internal variable the fuel gauge uses for tracking coulomb counting?

Part Number: BQ27421-G1

The fuel gauge has some sort of internal variable that is used to track coulomb counting and is exposed as Remaining Capacity or Nominal Available Capacity. Is there a way for us to be able to set that internal variable via I2C to force the fuel gauge to start coulomb counting with a value we specify, so that the fuel gauge's algorithm will accept that as the current charge level of the battery, and this will be reflected in Remaining Capacity and Nominal Available Capacity?

We've reviewed the Data Memory Summary in the Technical Reference and we're unable to identify a data value that would see to contain this internal variable.
