Hello,

My name is Itamar.

My application is a wall adapter that should charge a Lithium-Ion battery with a CCCV profile.

The battery charge voltage (CV) should be the same as the wall adapter voltage (Voltage range is: 25-40V)

The battery charge current (CC) should be between 3-5A (adjustable).

The wall adapter is the single power supply for the system, it supplies the system needs and two battery chargers.

I look for TI current limiter IC that will be connected between the wall adapter and battery.

The current limiter IC should be set between 3-5A and should work continuously in current limit mode (the battery draws the maximum current that the source can give).

Thank you for the quick response!

I already looked at this TPS1653 IC and is not fit for my requirements because is overcurrent modes:

1. Auto recovery (knows also as 'Hiccup')

2. Latch-off

For my application, I need to work continuously in the current limit mode without VO being disconnected.

So again, I want to set the current limit to 3A.

The battery continuously draws this 3A and the VO should be connected.

Unfortunately, we don't have solution which does continuous current limit.
