Hi,
we finished the first set of test (this is the continuous of the thread https://e2e.ti.com/support/power-management-group/power-management/f/power-management-forum/1070958/bq40z80-relative-state-of-charge)
and we had this log (errors are present for concurrent use of the bus)
We charged the cell with 8.4V but it stopped to 7.856 for overcharge (100% is reached before the nominal voltage is achieved).
Let me know how to proceed with the diagnostic of the problem.
I don't know; this is the part of the problem that we need to solve.
What do you suggest to do to investigate? Do we make a specific test to download other data?
Hello Fabrizio,
Do you get those values immediately after the golden image is programmed? In that case the golden image could be the problem.
No, we have this problem after some cycle... but do you suggest to repeat the learning cycle?
Should we start with a new battery pack or clear data on (how?) it?
These are the parameters that we set for the BMS and for the learning cycle:
2 Cell series 18650 Samsung 30Q i
Design Capacity mAh: 2950mAh
Design Voltage: 7.2V (2x3.6)
Design Capacity cWh: 2.95*7.2*100= 2124cWh
Charge term taper current: 150mA
Dsg Current Thershold: 100mA
Chg Current Thershold: 50mA
Quit current: 10mA
Term Voltage: 5000mV
ChemID 2085
It may be best to start from the beginning again. Program the GG file, program chemistry and run learning cycle
bqStudio has a "Data memory" tab. You can export and import data flash settings to and from files with GG.CSV extension. We refer to these as GG files.
