TPS62745: Use power good pin to detect loss of power

Part Number: TPS62745

Hello,

My client uses the TPS62745 power supply in their battery powered product. Now they wish to detect a loss of battery power event (complete disconnect of battery).

A large capacitor on Vout is then to be used as backup power to allow the u-controller to log the event.

Now I see in the datasheet that the Power good comparator switches off when Vout power is less then 1mA.

Our u-controller spends most of it's time in sleep mode, consuming way less then 1mA.

Does this mean I cannot use this Power good pin to accomplish this?

ciao,

Marijn
