TPSM41625: Schematic review

Hello,

My customer wants TI review of their TPSM41625 circuit design.

Could you please review the following circuit design?

  - VIN = 15.6V ~ 10.7V, VOUT = fixed 0.85V and 1.0V

Thanks,

JH

  • Hi JH,

Overall the schematic looks good. I would provide the following suggestions for both schematics:

    1. Use a separate symbol or net name for AGND. AGND is connected to PGND internally on the TPSM41625 module. This will allow for layout using a noisy (PGND) and quiet (AGND) voltage reference for the recommended circuitry.

    2. In a similar fashion to the resistor in series with the RS- pin, I would recommend a 0 ohm resistor or net-tie in series with RS+ (pin 35) and the output voltage on each schematic. This will allow the remote sense connection to be easily routed to the point of load and ensure the most accurate regulation.

Other than that, the remainder of the schematic looks good to me.

    Regards,
